The blocky minecrafty look has annoyed me from the start, but I wanted to wait a bit before before upgrading it since I wasn't sure if I'll even keep voxels. Anyway, looks like it's decided now.
It seems that I've also finally found a way to simulate water. It actually works right now, but it looks weird right now because it was written for the blocky terrain. I'll probably write a bit more about water in a later post.
I dunno when will the next playable build happen. Right now this simulation doesn't have very much gameplay value, and I'm not sure if it's worth updating before I actually get to the gameplay.
